Members to Vote Soon on Ratification

(WASHINGTON) – The Teamsters Brewery and Soft Drink Workers Conference announced that they have reached a last, best and final five-year proposal with Anheuser-Busch subject to member ratification, covering 4,400 brewery workers at the 12 Anheuser-Busch breweries nationwide.

The Teamsters national bargaining committee has unanimously recommended ratification of the last, best and final proposal.

Members will be sent ballot information in the next few weeks.

Fast Track is the Wrong Track for Teamsters

This web page provides information on our fight against fast-track legislation. The measure requires Congress to take only a quick up-or-down vote on secret trade deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership and does not allow such agreements to be amended. It limits Congress’ constitutionally mandated oversight of such trade deals and lets others decide what’s best for America. As President Obama said in his inaugural address, America "cannot succeed when a shrinking few do very well and a growing many barely make it."

Not even the very wealthy can continue to succeed without a broader-based prosperity. That's because 70 percent of economic activity in America is consumer spending. When most Americans are becoming poorer, they're less able to spend. Without their spending, the economy can't get out of first gear. That's a big reason the recovery continues to be anemic.
